Every Math Camper takes an individual Zane Math Assessment so we can customize a math program for each child from our 14,000 math problems database. Accelerate in math and avoid the summertime slide. Engineering: Mechanical Engineering LabOur Mechanical Engineering Lab is perfect for younger learners who are just getting started with LEGO. Students get an introduction to levers, inclined planes, pulleys, screws, and complete challenges in teams. Learn how simple machines are all around us (the flagpole at school, the wheelbarrow in your backyard, The seesaw at the playground!) and how they're used to make complex tasks easier to do. Camps for kids in grades K-2 and 3-5.
Engineering: Robotics for BeginnersDive into the exciting world of robotics and coding! This camp turns learning into an action-packed adventure with Blockly, a super user-friendly visual coding language, and the fun, interactive Dash Bot. Your child will unlock the magic of coding as they program robots to move, play, and even solve challenges. Engineering: Build It BrigadeReady to roll up your sleeves and build something amazing? Join the Build It Brigade and embark on an engineering adventure like no other! This hands-on camp is all about creativity, innovation, and problem-solving as campers design and construct their own engineering projects. From bridges to roller coasters to eco-friendly inventions, the possibilities are endless! Campers will work in teams to tackle real-world challenges using a variety of materials and tools, learning about the principles of engineering, physics, and design along the way. Game-Based Learning: Minecraft GalaxyGame-Based Learning using Minecraft™ capitalizes on the love you already have for the game as we explore the galaxy! Learn about Earth's oceans and undersea life with the Oceancraft mod, and explore space with the Galacticraft mod. Game-Based Learning: Minecraft Architectural DesignIn Architectural Design, students learn the basics of urban planning and building design. Explore real-world architectural landmarks through Google Maps & Street View, then take that knowledge and apply it to designing a cityscape using Minecraft™ and Tinkercad. Students will research and collect examples of interesting or unusual buildings from around the world and explore why these buildings are unique. Coding: Computer Science Lab with micro:bitsGet an introduction to coding and computer science by way of making and design, using the new micro:bit microcontroller board, and Microsoft’s easy and powerful MakeCode block-based coding environment. Coding: Python CoderStudents will learn about turtles—little arrows students use to program. Students will use turtles to learn loops, methods to make drawing numbers/shapes easier, and conditionals which change the way the turtle will move based on what they tell it to do. Science: It’s a Bug’s LifeGet ready to dive into the fascinating world of insects at It's a Bug's Life: Junior Entomologists Camp! This camp is designed for young nature enthusiasts eager to explore the incredible lives of bugs, beetles, butterflies, and beyond. Campers become true entomologists, discovering the amazing role insects play in our ecosystem and learning how to observe, study, and even interact with them developing a love and respect for the insect world. They will discover just how essential these tiny creatures are to the environment. Zaniac Summer Camps Feature:Multiple Cancellation or Rescheduling Options Available.
Please Note: Our Summer Camps sell out and flexibility becomes a challenge as the summer gets closer. We have made necessary changes to our cancellation policy with that factor in mind. For camps between June 1 and August 31: For cancellations made at least 30 days prior to the start date of camp, the customer has the option of either (i) having the amount paid refunded less a cancellation fee of $75 per camp (or the total amount if it is less than $75), or (ii) having the amount paid added as a credit to your Zaniac account. For cancellations less than 30 days prior to the start date of the camp, there is no refund or credit (with the specific exception that if the cancellation is due to the camper’s documented COVID-19 diagnosis or quarantine order then the customer will receive credit to their Zaniac account of the amount paid less a cancellation fee of $75 per camp). Any amount credited will be maintained as a credit on your account and can be used for any future purchases made within 1 year of the cancellation. Your credit is transferable to any family member.
