Computer Science Lab with micro:bits
Get an introduction to coding and computer science by way of making and design, using the new micro:bit microcontroller board, and Microsoft’s easy and powerful MakeCode block-based coding environment. This is a project-based curriculum with a maker philosophy at its core. By making physical objects, students create a context for learning coding and computer science concepts. We use interesting problems that students want to solve! Camps for Kids in Grades 4-8.

Get ready for an exhilarating adventure with Zaniac’s Engineering Wonders Camp! Campers will join forces on inter-disciplinary projects, unraveling the mysteries of 3D Printing, composing beats with GarageBand, coding digital wonders with Scratch, and now, venturing into the cutting-edge realm of artificial intelligence.
Alongside mastering traditional tools, your young media enthusiast will also delve into the fascinating world of AI with the incorporation of ChatGPT, Chatbots, and Face Sensing. As they navigate the digital landscape, they'll not only express themselves creatively but also harness the power of AI to elevate their projects to new dimensions. Artificial intelligence (AI) is a growing field that impacts many parts of our society. We interact with AI when we use smart home technologies, drive modern cars, and search for information on the web. Camp Details!
All Week (Monday - Friday) Full-Day or Half-Day camp. The Full-Day Camps run from 8 a.m. -5 p.m. each day. The Half-Day Camps run 8 a.m. - Noon and 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. each day.
Full-Day Weekly Camp price is $499 and Half-Day Weekly Camp price is $299.
We’ll provide snacks; please send all-day campers with a packed lunch.
Full-Day Camp Drop-Off time is 8 a.m. and Pick-Up time is 5 p.m.
Morning Half-Day Camp Drop-Off time is 8 a.m. and Pick-Up time is Noon.
Afternoon Half-Day Camp Drop-Off time is 12:45 p.m. and Pick-Up time is 5 p.m.
Please Note:
Camp details will be emailed the week before camp begins. Given the size of the campus, the safety of campers is our top priority. There will be a specific Drop-Off/Pick-Up location on the campus. A uniformed Zaniac instructor will meet the campers at the Drop-Off location, escort campers directly to the camp location, and then at the end of camp will escort campers back to the Pick-Up location.
